These sky descriptions are slightly modified versions of those used
by NOAA. “Opaque clouds” are clouds that do not allow anything to be
seen through them – the sun, moon, stars and blue sky are hidden.
“8/8” means there is no sky free of cloud cover. “0/8” means that
the entire sky is free of cloud cover.
